Default good plane - yes or no

I am looking at buying a great planes trainer 60 for my first plane.
Is this a good plane to start with or should I try something different.
Thanks,
Justin

Any of the high wing 'trainer'-style kits make nice first planes. The 60 would be a nice size because it will be easier to see in the air than a 40 size. Also have a look at the Sig Kadet as an excellent first choice, but you wont go wrong with the GP.

The GP trainer 40 and 60 are aerobatic trainers ,they are for your second plane on the learning curve, lots of other better planes for first time plane.

Justin, are you referring to the PT-60? I looked at the GP site and could not find a "Trainer 60". If you want something that would work as a first trainer and would let you get into aerobatics, check out the World Models Super Stunts 40 and 60 or if you are a younger guy with good reflexes, check out the Sig Mid-Star 40. That's what I used for my trainer and it served me well for several years.

I just got a Hangar 9 Alpha a few weeks ago, and love it. It came with very little assembly, and is quite easy to fly (and I'm a first-timer who needed some help). I have nothing with which to compare it, but the guys at the field who helped me were fairly impressed with the kit.

The Trainer 60 has a symetrical wing. These kits haven't been produced in years. A couple of friends have Trainer 40s, and they're a blast to fly. They're much more of a high-wing sport plane than they are trainer.

60 for sure still around have seen lot's of them they fly well , big and smooth and that's what you want in a trainer- leave the tricks for later first learn to fly properly.

Ditto to what Terrell and MikeL said. The GP "Trainer 60" is not a trainer. The GP "PT-60" is what you want.
