I have been working with a coaxial heli for about a year and thinking about moving up. Should move to a glow or a larger electric (T-Rex)?

That's really a question of personal preference. The glow powered helis are quite stable and good for training. The more powerful electric helis can be a bit of a handful until they're "dialed in" by frequent flying and fine tuning. On the other hand, you can fly the electrics indoors, which is a definite plus this time of year.

You know your flying preferences better than anyone else here could. You also know whether or not you belong to a flying club where more experienced pilots could help you with either a more advanced electric heli or a glow powered model.

My advice is choose whichever one for which you have the most help and support. Heli pilots in my local area tend to be pretty fraternal because they rely on each other a great deal for advice, guidence, help, and spare parts.

This might be better in a heli forum?

Don't worry about that. Just start a new one there. This one will die on it's own or may even draw some more replies for you.
