Control horn and adjusting elevator throw
I finished a Venture 60 kit over the weekend, but I have a issue with the elevator throw and control horn.
When adjusting the elevator throw (I think the manual suggests 5/8 inch up and down), I had to put the clevis from the push rod to the very bottom control horn hole (the hole closest to the elevator) in order to achieve the 5/8 inch. Is this normal or what did do you think I may have done wrong? It would be nice to have the clevis near the middle in case I want to play around with some more elevator movement. Is there a way to adjust this so the clevis can be place in the center of the control horn and still have 5/8 inch throw? The rudder and ailerons are fine with the clevis located near the top of each control horn.

RE: Control horn and adjusting elevator throw
I try to adjust my linkages for the greatest mechanical advantage, while still exceeding the recommended throws.
Then I use the transmitter's endpoint adjustments to bring the actual control surface movement within the specified range.
That permits me to later merely "dial it up" once I am comfortable with the plane.

Get longer servo arms, adjust to the outer holes on the servo arm or run your servos at 150%.

RE: Control horn and adjusting elevator throw
Thanks for the replies.
I looked at my servo arm last night and I can move the push-rod out one more hole (it's currently in the middle). I'll have to check to see how much more throw that gives me, but I think it should help.

If that isn't enough try increasing your endpoints or longer servo arms

Jr or Airtronics versions also available. Don't go too long as it starts to load down the servo and it's gears.
