Default E-Flite Blade CP Pro radio upgrade

Hello all,

I'm trying to help out my brother who has an E-Flite Blade CP Pro, all standard, except for the addition of a E-Flight G90 gyro. He wants to up-grade to a better radio with exponetial adjustments. Any suggestions on make and model? NO 2.4ghz systems. Thanks [sm=biggrin.gif]

I use an optic 6

They're $123 for just the transmitter and spectra module at www.helihobby.com (Even comes with a high capacity low discharge lipo)

It's a negative shift transmitter so you can use the spectra module and set it to work straight out of the box with the stock blade receiver.

Well,

Either nobody has tried a different radio for their CP Pro, or not very many people have them. [] So we are going to try a JR 7202. We found one for a pretty good price. I'll update after we get the radio installed.

A lot of people move on to a better helicopter before putting in the time and money to get a better radio system.

Any 6+ channel transmitter/receiver with CCPM mixing will work.

A lot of people have different transmitters for the CPP, but everyone I have seen do it is on 2.4GHz.

Well you better do a bit more digging for information.

I had a CP and the rx in it was 72 MHz NEGATIVE shift. JR radios are POSITIVE shift. I don't know if anything changed with the Pro but I would think it's still got the same rx type....

If your blade is the 72Mhz model

I'm using my Hitec Eclipse 7. Works great and has all the goodies for CCPM mixing built in. This was a great help to me as I am just starting into Helo's.

The transmitter that came with my Blade CP was really hairy on the controls. I really needed to tame it down so could control it.

Got lot's of info on settings off this forum and now I dont go through as many blades as I did before

One other thing to point out if the receiver is 72Mhz.

If you wish to change the frequency on the receiver (Dont have a Spectra module), you can use a Futaba Short receiver crystal for the Eflite 4 in 1 receiver. Found the crystal on ebay for $9.00.

Good luck

Larry
