I've been running the 42A supply from feathermerchant. They're used server supplies and are compact and quiet.

Two turn spin, why does it look like you've desecrated a record (vinyl) case? [X(]

Well spotted Rendegade it is designed for storing LP's, looked for an appropriate box for ages but couldn't find one the right size. This one came from Jaycar, I picked up the last two they had. Why you would want a camouflaged LP container I don't know. Lucky all my LP's have been converted to MP3 now!

Yep. Case, PSU, extra plugs, internal stand offs and fan covers all from Jaycar. Fans from a PC supplier and wire from Hobby City. I'm now building a second one for one of the guys. Neat solution as I can fit four 10S packs in the end section and charge them by just switching the wires across. Put the lid on and everything is neat and tidy in one box.

Took a while, but I just got my Iota DLS-55 today.

Do you guys just keep in the plug for 14V operation?

Any creative ideas for connecting chargers?

I'll work on a box over the winter.

Hi Joe,
I have never seen the Iota PSU but it looks like it has at least one connector for the 13.6v output. I would connect the biggest wire you can (say 10AWG) from there into a pair of banana plugs or use a power strip unit as seen on p1 of this thread. You then plug in your chargers to the output of whichever you have installed, this way the components remain stand alone and you can always take out any that have a problem or you want to use in another application.
Just make sure that everything is well ventilated so things remain cool, I note that the Cellpro chargers get quite hot when they are charging 10 cells at 5 amps (up to 210W). If I am charging at home I leave my charge box in the middle of my garage concrete floor (ie. non-combustable) in the event that a battery goes pear-shaped. The only other mod I think is needed is to put batteries being charged into a lipo sack to decrease the risk of something going seriously wrong.
All the best, Simon

Hi Joe,
I leave the plug in mine. It's been working fine that way for 3 seasons.

Thanks Verne!

Charged my first set of batteries at home last night - boy is it nice to not use my truck battery!!! That got old, fast.

I am mounting the PS in one of those metal cases from the home supply stores. Fits the PS and 3 chargers. Found a (bus?) at Radioshack for $3 that I'm using to distribute the power (8 ports, 2x4 bridged, made for high voltage applications). Everything will eventually get mounted (velcro?) and joined with Anderson Powerpoles for easy removal and system changes. Should be able to unplug PS and plug in cables for using at the field, until I get my generator.

Will upload pics when I get things together.

Thanks for all the help.

I am also looking to build a box, and after seeing your post I noticed the same thing. I didn't look but it just occurred to me that the male's are most likely rated the same. The local Radio Shack had two types, both rated at 10a, one at 125v ac and the other at 250v ac. I would still feel much better with something rated for more, since I will be at 24v and up to 100a. Mabye just using Deans or bullits?? It would not be as professional looking of coarse. Any one have thoughts on this?

I only use 4mm gold-plated bullets that are rated at 100A for connection between ESC/motor and ESC/battery pack.

Powerpoles work good. I have some in my box for disconnects, and use them on my planes. They're only rated to 45A, but at a few hundred volts. If they work in the plane, no reason they won't work in the box.
