What size is your box?
I've been learning on a Dragonfly 2004 for about 4 months, and after much pain and angst can now take off and do a reasonably controlled hover for a few minutes at a time. I can land in whatever corner of the room I want, and sometimes even land on (or near) a mat placed on the floor.
My question is exactly how controlled you guys have been able to get? My hovers tend to stay within a box about 2-3 feet on a side, except sometimes when an air current grabs it, then it might swoop 3-4 feet outside of the box before I wrestle it back in. With practice, how closely controlled should I be aiming for? Is there a limit below which it's always going to wander? If I keep practising practising practising, where's the asymptote?
Thanks

RE: What size is your box?
when i had a hummingbird it took me about 2 weeks to learn to hover and land on top of my computer screen ( had no previous experience)
Try: make sure the heli is balanced properly
also when you get close to the floor ("sometimes even land on (or near) a mat placed on the floor." ) hover as stable as you can about 1 foot (or as low as you can) above the mat then drop the throttle quickly and it'll land strait on the spot you were trying to get
good luck
