Charging 1700 mah SCR batteries
Hey all. I picked up some (60 in all) 1700mah SCR cells from a RC Car racer to use with my Voyager. Got a really good deal so the lower capacity should be ok.
I seem to have found something weird when charging the cells. I'm using a Triton charger to test each cell before making the packs (plus I hope to kinda match up simialar cells). I have the trition set to charge at 3.0 Amp but it only pushes 1.7 (1700 mah). I assume the software detects the SCR cell (by it's internal resistance?) and adjusts the charge as needed.
My question is why? Can anyone explain why the Triton won't let me charge faster than 1C?
Thanks
