New Product - Mako Jets are in!!!!!!!!!!!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hello all and thanks for being patient.
Shark Jaw Toys are now ready for shipping. There are two different options available to you for ordering.
1. Mako Jet RTF without TX.
2. Mako Jet RTF with TX.
We are recommending that if you have no RC experience at all, you get a qualified pilot to train you to fly. If you use the Mako with the current TX PLEASE fly it on "Expert mode" We have found that on Basic mode the current Mako will not turn well. This problem has been fixed and addressed.

To order use this link http://www.iwatoyco.com/store/produc...ame=RCProducts
Thank you

What is the battery life with the stock battery and does the kit come with a charger?

Thanks.

Airmcn,
Do you have any more info on the kit? A picture of the box doesn't do it and I didn't find any other links on the home page to get me to where I could see anything else.

hey everyone...nice to see that this item is finally here. I don't know how many Shark Jaw has left in-house from this first batch but if you're interested, I've got about ten RTF's left...and we do ship internationally. Keep in mind that this is NOT a beginner plane. If you've got the chops, then you'll really enjoy the power, manueverability, and speed of the Mako. Not too many other ducted fan jets out there for under $200.

Redwood: flight times will vary depending on usage, but 15-20 minutes is to be expected.

Be careful changing the radio out. Using a standard radio the motor pulls 23+ AMPs. Stock radio that comes with it keep's it to 80% throttle except when the Turbo button is pushed. Then it goes to full throttle (23 AMPs). Puffed the stock LiPo battery after a 5 min flight. Mine was set up using a DX radio. The Jet is a great flier, just need to use throttle management. They are addressing the battery concern when the stock radio is not used. They are replacing my battery. I really like the plane.

No pix of Tx yet...as soon as I have minute to take one I'll post it (Chris?). As for supply, only 400 or so were in the first container. More are expected to come in August. If you want one now I have a few left (as of 6/15/06) otherwise you're looking at Aug/Sept.
