Why did you make the thrust washer? I have done a couple of mac 32s and they all had ball bearings.
I get around 7400 with MAS 18x10.

Isn't there a problem with the MAC saws that they have needle main bearings and need some kind of thrust device? I have a coupleof MAC saw but never took one apart.

Enjoy,

Jim

Could be. I thought about that after I wrote my last responce. The 32s I have done were all weed eaters.

Yes, I've run into this. At least once anyway. The saw motor I decided to just use for parts and pieces. The weedeater motors have ball bearings. At least the ones I've run into.

The Mac chainsaw engines are needle bearing so that's why I made the thrust washer.I ran it today it only tached around 8400 on a 16x10 APC.Should i expect more? This is definately a more speed than torque engine as the bore is nearly as big as my Q35's but the stroke is somewhat less 32cc vs 35cc.If anyone has mounted one of these please let me know how. Thanks
