NYC Pattern Primer Event MAY 31st

This is an event designed to introduce our pilots to the concept of precision aerobatic flying or pattern flying. The event will have two parts. In the morning, we hope to have pattern demos and demonstrations to introduce pilots to a pattern event from the point of view of the judge.
In the afternoon, we will hold an actual pattern event with prizes to fifth place in each of two categories – SPORTSMAN and INTERMEDIATE. Schedules for these two patterns can be found at the P.A.R.C.S. Flying Field during the month of May for anyone to take and practice. As a warmup to the event, we have invited Eric Henderson, N.S.R.CA. President and Frank Granelli, N.S.R.CA. DISTRICT 1 V.P.

Directions to Floyd Bennett Field
1. From: 87 South
Last Exit South I-278 W toward TRIBORO BR/MANHATTAN/QUEENS
I-278 W becomes GRAND CENTRAL PKWY E.
Take the J ROBINSON PKWY/VAN WYCK EXPWY exit- exit number 13- toward KENNEDY AIRPORT.
Merge onto VAN WYCK EXWY/I-678 S toward KENNEDY AIRPORT.
Follow directions 3-6...
2. From: 95 / Hutchinson River Pkwy
HUTCHINSON RIVER PKWY S becomes VAN WYCK EXPRESSWAY I-678 S.
3.Take the exit- exit number 1W- toward VERRAZANO BR/BELT PKWY WEST.
Turn SLIGHT RIGHT onto N CONDUIT AVE/NY-27 W/N CONDUIT BLVD.
4.Merge onto BELT PKWY W via the ramp- on the left- toward VERRAZANO BR.
5.Take the FLATBUSH AVE SOUTH exit- exit number 11S- toward ROCKAWAYS. Merge onto FLATBUSH AVE.
6.Floyd Bennett Field Main entrance 1/2 mile south on the left.
It's the last light before the bridge toll
Last Exit South I-278 W toward TRIBORO BR/MANHATTAN/QUEENS
