I've got a Frog 2.49 BB Mod., the crankshaft won't spin freely and I want to inspect the rear bearing. Are there any hints or tips about removing the crankshaft I should be aware of? Any ideas for a suitable replacement for the front oil seal?

Apparently the front seal was a wheel slave cylinder cover from a well know British small car of the 1950's. Can't remember the details. A bloke I used to know made up a nice replacement for his from black Delrin.

Probably the best bet is for you to scour this thread on the topic from the Barton Forum :-) It doesn't come up with a definitive solution either but at least it identifies the bearings. Both R6 size like an Olly.
