Align T-Rex 500E Flybarless head ??
Does anyone know if thereis an Alignnon-DFC flybarless head for the 500E? I've been advised that DFC heads do not dissipate crash impact as well as non-DFC heads, resulting in greater damage down through the rotorhead. I've seen the non-DFC heads readily available for larger models, but only the DFC head seems available for the 500E. I suppose I could by the individual parts, but I'd rather buy a completeFBL kit.
Thanks you.
Thanks you.

There is no particular part number for a completer *kit* per se.
A good LHS can pick-add-gather all of the pieces you need to go fbl.
Try Ron Lund's Heli Proz south. If anyone can do it he can.

Ouch! That's very expensive at $105.99. The DFC head is available for $59.99. I think I'll take my chances and go with DFC.<div>

But with the dfc head unless you have the updated the updated main blade holders that the pro kit comes with you will need them and you will also need the dfc swash as well which is another $60. The dfc upgrade kit doesn't come with either of them, I am in the process of upgrading the head on my 550 and have ha to buy the swash and main blade holders separately.

Now I realize this isn't everything needed for the FBL head conversion. I think it's unfair advertising. The blade grips shouldn't be depicted in the picture.
So, my plastic original grips can't work with this kit?<div></div><div>http://helidirect.com/align-500dfc-m...et-p-26335.hdx</div><div></div>

No I do not believe so, the new blade grip arms need to be screwed into the blade grips and unless you have a pro head you need to order the new grips. Sucks I know, I have the old style on my 550 where the grip arms and arms are one piece.

RE: Align T-Rex 500E Flybarless head ??
I converter my T-Rex 500 to flybarless. I got the parts from Heliproz South. There was no kit but Ron was a great help. You do have to use the flybarless blade grips. On the FBS blade grips the pivot balls are in the front and the arm is longer. On the flybar grips the pivot in on the back. We tried the non-FBL grips and what a scary flight.
