The Bennett muffler has two nipples for smoke. Can I just remove the nipples and thread some screws into it?

Yes, But that JB weld does not look very good on the crankcase nipple for the smoke pump.
I would just cap it with some fuel tubing and plug the fuel tubing.

If you take the nipple out of the crank case of the engine you have, Make sure the bolt you use to plug it is not to long and hits the crank.
You will probably have to cut one down to what length you need.

Most G62s with Bennett smoke systems were tapped 1/4-28 for a fitting just under the cylinder in the rear case about 1/2 iback from the crankcase joint. Benetts smoke pump was originally used for something else and had large fittings...Yo Milton, any chance the new JC 120 cylinders would fit the 100 twin I got from you ?

I got one today and it sure looks good looking engine, If all work out Kevin has a winner but time will tell.
The cylinders look better than any China made engine I have seen, Look to be pressure casting.

You could trade it to someone who wants a smoke muffler, and has a non-smoke one. Just a thought. But, the nipples can just be left open, as fluid just goes in and is heated and then comes out. No exhaust leaks will occur.

The ones on the muffler can just be left open.
The one on the engine crankcase will have to be closed with a plugged tube or removed and a short bolt put in the nipple's place.
I just used a short piece of short tube on mine.
