Default All day flying on RCEXL on g20ei?

I bought the Hangar 9 1/4 scale cub plug and play with the zenoah g20ei. It says that the stock ignition will last for 70 minutes of flight with the preinstalled 2400mah battery. The battery isn't flightline accessable and is buried next to the fuel tank. Will the RCEXL last a day of flying on the stock battery? Can the new universal chargers like the Thunder AS6 charger tell how much mah is used when the battery is recharged? I would like to ramp up the flight time between charges while being confident the battery will last until touch down.

Where are people buying RCEXL ignitions? CH (talked about on this forum) seems out of business. I also need a RCEXL optical switch.

Good info on the Forum. I could go with the single cell Lipo from my helicopter packs with tons of mah but it would be difficult to remove for recharging (tank removal).

A 2200 4.8 volt will give you over 6 hrs of flying time with a RCexl ignition.

With this version you can use the Zenoah original sensor. Plug and play.

Also this RCEXL CDI model A01 with a special sensor housing to replace the original sensor.

Thanks, that helps a lot. I was not sure if the sensors are compatible, I can change the connector and plug boot if I have to.

Now if you really wnat something neat...do what the guys do that fly gas Helies with Zenoah 26, engines. They add a neat charger that keeps the battery level up. Pretty cool! Capt,n

This is for a Radikal G20 helicopter. The stock ignition draws about 2 Amps, mostly used to heat up the ignition module
Zenoah makes very good engines, but the cdi sucks. I also have a very hard time to get mine started, hope the ignition would help.
So the RCEXL should be closer to .5 Amps, plenty of flight time on a 2000 maH battery....

New C.H. Ignitions back in business. All new ignition.Smaller, lighter, hotter spark. Can be built to run on 3.7 up to nine volts, not all on the same ignition.Has heavy mounting flanges on the case and is 100% repairable.

Yes it can. You have to rewire the plug to a standard Futaba style. The Zenoah pickup wire is two sheilded and one bare wires, the bare wire is the ground.
