Default Best Prop for a G23

I am working on a H9 Taylorcraft with a G23. I have a Master airscrew 16x8 and 18x6. Which would be better for this engine/plane combo?

Default G23

Although I have not flown the T-Craft, I would go with the 16X8 or 16X6 . The planes I fly the G23 with are slightly smaller so I use a 15x8 . It will turn larger props, IMO I don't like the way the engine ran or performed around the 7500 rpm range, I keep mine around 9000 - 9400 at full throttle with the 15X8 and 16X6 APC.

Default Best Prop for a G23

Hi Erick,

I am using an 18x8 Moki wood prop on my G-23 in a WM 1/4 scale Cub. This prop has proved to be a great match for the G-23. It will also work well in your T-Craft too. Even with the best prop I fear that you will not have an abundance of thrust with this engine on this plane though. It will probably fly very scale-like however.

Sam
