Default 3w 75i help

need some help with a 3w75. first gas engine of this size. i broke it in and flew the airplane once and engine ran awsome. sat for a few months this winter and now when i run the motor, it runs awsome until i put the plane in a climb and it slowly dies. i've started at factory settings with the L and H. when i start richening the H it gets better but then gets to a point where it doesn't help and and i can screw the H almost clear out. from idle to full has great response and will run all day long level. i did rip the landing gear off and the carb got a little dirt on the bottom of it but didn't look bad. don't have much experience with this type of carb. ANY HELP PLEASE. thanks.

Check the filter screen and diaphragms in the carb...They get stiff after a while, doesn't take much...

It may be that the fuel you were using had a high oil content and during the winter the gas evaporated and left the oil to congeal and clog the high needle port. Remove the high needle and use a syringe to force gas thru the port and try again.
