Default Zenoah crankshaft differences

Can anyone help decipher this data on Zenoah 23-26cc crankshafts?

Zenoah part # T2070-42001: (28mm stroke) for G230RC / G260RC engines. $49 Vendor A

G23RC T2070-42001 Crankshaft ZEN2326RC By ZENOAH 74.99 Zenoah part # T2070-42001: Zenoah stock full-circle crankshaft (28mm stroke) for G230RC / G260RC engines. (dd342 - G230RC / G260RC Crankshaft ) $49 http://www.davesmotors.com/store/product295.htm
G23RC T2070-42001 Crankshaft ZEN2326RC By ZENOAH 74.99 Vendor Horizon

G23 1155-42000 Crankshaft (EI) ZEN2329 by ZENOAH 89.99 Vendor Horizon ( Listed on 2003 Horizon pdf manual as crank for both 23 &26 cc)

Crankshaft T2075 42000 ZEN23129 by ZENOAH 47.99 Vendor Horizon

An explanation of application would be appreciated; price difference of almost 100% confuses me as well.

This may belong in conversions, as the research is put an on-hand new 25.4cc Zenoah head assembly kit on a new crank in a new case.

Default RE: Zenoah crankshaft differences

The strokes are the same for all the engines..
I have not seen a genuine full circle crank in a Zenoah made engine..
I tried a full circle crank from another vendor...The stroke was the same but the crank didn't wuite fit in the Zenoah case without a little grinding on the case..As far as I could tell the engine ran the same either way...
The quality of the Zenoah made cranks is well known, I haven't run the others long enough to tell..
Differences in part numbers FOR THE SAME PART exist...
The part number in the latest Zenoah manual is the same for all 23 and 26 cc is the same, T2075-42000..
Prices vary widely, I have a very old 1995 Red Max Master Price list..
1155-42000, retail $72.02..Horizon price from a 2001 list, $124.95..
I don't know who makes up Horizon's prices, maybe someone throws a dart at a board and the price is wherever it sticks..I quit buying from them when they put me on a $500 minimum order for not being a hobby shop...
There was a change in the con rod mateerial a while back, maybe that's the reason for the different part numbers...
Maybe we'll find out what DDM has to say....
Bottom line is all the cranks fit and work...You pays your money and takes your choice...

get a new one for 299$
or the new 20cc with the electronic ignition for 399$
i had the same problem and it is cheaper to buy a new one unless you get the exact relaced part for the bad one

enjoy

While all these engines use a 28mm stroke crank, the cranks themselves are not the same.

The G230RC and G260RC use Zenoah part # T2070-42001:
http://www.davesmotors.com/store/product295.html
This is a full-circle crank.

The G231PUH, G260PUH, and G260PU use Zenoah part # T2075 42000.

This is not a full-circle crank.

The full-circle crank weighs more (an obvious downside for air applications) and moves the ideal operating RPM range upwards (more rotating mass to drive higher RPMs, at the price of slower spool-up), which is better suited for ground-based RC vehicles.

Thanks, Ryan, I never see the other cranks..I wonder why the Zenoah heli engines don't use the full circle cranks ? They operate at about 12,000 rpm.....
Horizon is making a little progress, but $87 for a hub and $15 for a CMR7H spark plug is still ridiculous...

I would imagine the significant weight difference between the cranks would be a strong deterrent for all airborne uses.
