US Engines ????
Need opinions,
I have a freind that has some older US engines 31 & 41cc range on mag ign. He would like to use these as they still run good but are so heavy. Are they worth the effort and cost to upgrade to EI., If so who offers a good and cost effective EI kit for these?
Maybe Ralph C. will chime in here, I've seen he's done a lot of upgrade's for people with very good results.

Weight is not necessary a problem. I had a US41 in the nose of one of my birds and everything balanced out fine. I was forced later to convert it it electronic ignition (mag coil broke off the case), which saved a lot of engine weight only to be converted to lead on the firewall. It was a CH Ignition, by the way, and they provide a fine product.
