The peak model extra 260 and 330 will both work well. They are coming in under 10lbs with the spe26 so your engine should give them great power.

Size isn't going to have alot to do with it, considering your requirement for 3D'ing the plane with the specific engine. I would shoot for 11lbs or less to get you the performance you are looking for. However, if the AUW of the model you are considering doesn't jive with the available wing area, it doesn't matter how well it pulls out of a hover, it might otherwise fly like a brick. I don't know of a 260 or Edge....but the QQ YAK54 73" would be a good match for this engine. It has good wing area, about 11lbs with that engine, and fantastic flight characteristics. Maybe that will give you some size, weight and wing area numbers to look for.

Hey....why not call Scott at Brillelli, he surely knows what folks are using his engines on, or may have tried several himself.

You may want to wait a week or two before you call him, his answering machine said he just had vocal cord surgery.

He will respond to email.. he just isn't suppose to do much talking before Nov 15th...

The 36 is about as strong as the old 40 was.. maybe a bit stronger. It will be able to hover a 12- 13 pound fine. There are several guys using this motor on the EF 74" Yak and loving it.
