Default SV 50cc Gas Engine CDI 3.15kW

I was looking for someone with experience with this engine. I am looking into a 3D 50 CC bird and stumbled across this engine. I am on a budget so I was looking at this in compairison to a DL50.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Thanks
Jeff

It'll turn a Xoar 22x8 62~6300 rpm, before the mounting lugs break.[:@]

I was thinking about it, and the DL was my first choice for the price but I saw the SV on a banner and checked the website out and found the SV is only 219.00, here are the specs and link. I just don't know how good it is... I don't want my first gas engine to be a dog..

I see what you mean 219.00 will def catch your eye. I would need to hear the report as that saving will not be worth it if the power is not there. an os-160 has just under 4 hp and its a glow. I have a 5hp Brison 3.2 and that DL beats it RPM wise. I think you need to be very strong on a 22 x 8 prop to say the least. My 3.2 would do most 22 x 8 props in the 6800-7100 range. I am now on a tune pipe with a 23A vess at about 6800 but again the pipe allows more power. That DL from the numbers i see on here is one bad beast.

I think the DL can be had for this same price if you buy from China or have someone in Military ship it back to you from China.

Krazy,
I agree, I have gotten some opinions and it is true you get what you pay for. I will probably go for the DL when I get the GP Ultimate 1.60 or Yak 1.60. I have a 1.60 I was going to put on one of those but it doesn't appear that either plane flys 3d really well with the 1.60 on it due to the weight. Not to mention I want to try a gas burner for a change so I guess the 1.60 will end up on the 9 lb Ultra RC Katana for now.
Thanks again guys for your insight!!

I just got the ftl45 the numbers seemed more impressive then the 50 so I thought I'd give it a try for 179 bucks the engine itself seems well made though I haven't taken it aprt yet to go through it
it was prerun it's in the 45-50 weight class for sure it has the rcxcl ign. which CH is now endorsing so I think that part will be ok
Don't know when I'll get to run it, soon I hope it may turn out to be a gem it may turn out to be junk.
I'll post some numbers when I get to run it

Your killing me Dick, I have a black lab now , I just finished reading a coupel of DL threads and think I am gonna make their 50cc my first gasser, I have read only good things and its in my price range. Now to decide to unload the new 1.60 I have for one project to check over to the gasser... ponder ponder...
