Which site? I listed 5 vendors.

I'd be cautious about those at McMaster-Carr. No clear indication theirs are
true Nord-Locks. Possibility theirs are knock-off/clones. Might want to inquire
before buying those.

I'm going to install these Nord-Lock fasteners on the exhaust bolts of all my gassers.
These plus a dab of that Permatex Ultra Copper rtv on the threads.

Won't vibrate lose, and they'll still be removable!

Those at McMaster-Carr are not genuine brand name Nord locks but the users seem to be satisfied. There was a lot of discussion about this in the Syssa threads in this forum and in Pattern

OK, but be aware, mufflers when planted in fields don't ever grow.
Nor do wheel collars, clevis's, engines, etc, etc.[sm=72_72.gif]

You'll be wanting to better secure your replacement muffler!

I use the red locktite gel on my muffler screws. I don't plan on removing them anytime soon.

Re-seal all muffler joints, and use [link=http://www.permatex.com/products/automotive/automotive_gasketing/gasket_makers/auto_permatex_ultra_copper_maximum_temperature_rtv _silicone_gasket_maker.htm]Permatex® Ultra Copper® Maximum Temperature RTV ......[/link]

Well I got to put it in the air Sat made five ten min. flights and two dead stick landings. Both dead stick was due to setting up kife edge to the right left rudder engine just died. Flew the plane inverted ,loops rolls right and left, mid range and WOT. Now I am a little stumped. I will pull the tank as I can see the clunk is not stuck or hanging up. I put the engine in a GP Big stick. It is a way over powered and fast but will float like a leaf. Ca'nt wait to finish breaking the engine in. I wish I had tried knife edge to the left to see if it still died. OOH well.

I use this material also and it works great on my small gassies. I also use Nordlock washers to hold muffler screws secure. Red loctite is not necessary or required. Nordlocks and Ultra Copper sealant work super and allow bolt removal without having to burn the screws. Nordlocks available at McMaster Carr.

Hello everybody,
thank you for your attentions on 15cc gas engine, and many thanks for the promotion of  Valley View RC company and my friend Mr.mpascual from Spain.
I had left from JBA model engine company three month ago, and I was founder of JBA company, and I had choosed to leave to establish my new company, and I was researching during these month and I was in <font color="#0066cc">hiding</font> <font color="#0066cc">disappear</font> <font color="#0066cc">from</font> <font color="#0066cc">the</font> <font color="#0066cc">scene</font> be in <font color="#0066cc">complete</font> <font color="#0066cc">hiding</font>
JBA15G is my first gas engine from I was making nitro engine from 1993, I like JBA15G, it is my baby. I love it.
but I was researching all of mine products these years, I found more problems, and I think it's time to improve it and re-make good products, I am doing with my best team now.
from 2011, I will promote all range of my products one by one to show it, I need about 3month more to do  <font color="#0066cc">with</font> <font color="#0066cc">the</font> <font color="#0066cc">care</font> <font color="#0066cc">and</font> <font color="#0066cc">precision</font> of a <font color="#0066cc">sculptor</font>
all size will be designed specially not modified just based on my current products. the new will be shown from march 2011, and now it is a secret.
I hope your attentions and support all the time.
with my respect and best wishes!

Good to hear from you Michael
So let me get this right. You left JBA now and are taking the designs to make a new lineup?
And you came here to let us all know it should be available in a few months?

Hmm - Very good

Talked with Jody. Will have a new muffler by end of this week. I had the prior one installed with red loctite. Will still use some red loctite, but may add the sealant and possibly a safety wire. It sure is nice to have someone like jody to get advise from on various engines.

MrBill

If you're gonna keep using red Loctite, and you already
lost one muffler with that, you might want to consider
getting mufflers in bulk!

Did you know, that heat is what's used to remove Loctite???

Nord-Locks are designed just for such high vibrations
environments. Add a dab of Permatex® Ultra Copper®
Maximum Temperature RTV, and no more lose bolts!

MrBill, take a1pcfixer's advise, use a dab of Permatex® Ultra Copper®
Maximum Temperature RTV and Nord-Locks and you won't loose another muffler!
