Default Transmitter Setup for V-Tail

I am a newbie to the pylon racing scene and have never programmed a radio for a V-Tail plane. I have a JR 783 and I can't find anything in the manual that looks like instructions for programming for a V-tail. It will have a servo for each of the surfaces on the V-Tail. Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks,

Ken

Not familiar with the 783, but I know that with the 8103 if you look in the glider menus you'll find v-tail mixing. With that TX, I use the glider mode, and the only noticeable thing is the throttle control is called the "spoilers". I guess if you forget to move it to wide open, it could spoil a race!

OK, so it's a poor attempt at humor..

Remind me. Why is 2.4 better again?

Ken,

In system mode look under "wing type selection". VTL is the designation for V-tail. I thing the Table of Contents will have it under "wing type selection".

Hey Slim,
I will send an E-mail later but I'm hoping you get this as well.

Did you ever get ahold of Jerry? He sent me an E-mail yesterday and said to just E-mail him what you would like. If you are not able to contact him, please get ahold of me and let me know for sure one way or the other. I now have enoiugh to cover what we need so I am going to put the order in no later than Monday.

Bert.

With Spectrum/JR 2.4.... The things I like, that "make" it better are:
1. Can't fly the wrong airplane, I've never done that but seen a few that have.
2. The ease of packing the receivers with hardly any antenna, love that.
3. Nobody can leave their TX on and shoot me down, and visa versa.
3. And the Latency is off the chart better than 72mhz systems, which gives you an incredible feel for your aircraft.

just to hit on the hot points.

not a salesman.. just love new technology.
