Hello everyone, posting this to see if changing color of my 81 inch Cessna 182 from red/white/black to blue white and black would make this plane more attractive. I realize it's a matter of personal choice; it seems like everywhere you look there's another red and white Cennsa 182 so I'm going for a different look, although the blue and white is only slightly less traditional. Thoughts??



The fuselage would need the red sections sanded and repainted. I have some blue paint that's a pretty close match for color. I just don't want to ruin the rest of the plane if the wings are off color with the fuselage and wheel pants.

The wings came out perfect...decisions, decisions....

Paint the cowl before you sand the fuse and wheel pants. That will allow to check how they match without too much to fix if they don't.

Painted the pants to match, came out pretty close considering I used automotive paint to match monokote.

I like the results so far, I'm going to proceed with the rest of the airplane. Should be a nice 182 when I'm done!
