That IS an odd thought! I would like to take a RR Merlin, but it would mess up the burial ceremonies too much.

This reminds me the story of the rich old man that before kicking the bucket tells his 2 best friends, a rabbi and a priest: in that drawer I have 2 millions in cash. I want each of you 2 to hide 1 million in my coffin.

So, after the burial they met, and one asks the other if he complied with the dying wish of the old friend. One says of course not, it would be a waste, I kept his money! He will not need it, and it will rot in a box!

¡Shame on you! How could you do something like this, it was the wish of a dying man!

So, the other answers: Did you comply with his wish then? (looking at the grave)

Of course I did, I wrote him a check for 1.000.000 and I put it in his pocket! What are friends for!

As a public service, I would like to be buried with a MDS 40. That would keep it out of the hands of some unsuspecting newbie and save him a plane or two from deadsticks.

Ok, so some would like to be buried with their favorite engine!

Soooo, that begs the question.

What electric motor would you like to be buried with?!

Personally, I wouldn't bring anything good - I'd make sure someone who could use them would continue enjoying them.

Bury me with something that deserves to never see the light of day again!

Electric motors make good fuel pumps for real engines....

Just kidding - I actually have TWO whole electric motors for airplanes. One's in an e-flite pogo, the other is a cheap hacker clone from hobby king for a flat foamie. Probably pushing 70-80 glow engines in the "collection", though.

Don't know that I'd want to be buried with any of them - I'd rather be here to enjoy them all myself!

I've never been into grave robbing, but honestly I'm taking notes on which graves to hit after you're gone!

If I could, I would love to find whatever remains of the OS29 Stunt that I flew into a goal post on my Jr High football field. Broke the case in half!! That Cosmic Wind is still the best plane I have ever had. Old memories are better than the fresh ones I guess. Maybe we will be reunited in the afterlife!!?!

I agree with the MDS 40. maybe God, or the devil, could make it run.

Kind of a morbid thought, isn't it Patxipt? [X(]

Well, anyway, for me it would have to be my polished radial.

I think we're all wondering what that amazing engine is doing next to that bottle of horse pee........

I see you are from Missouri. I suppose you like steam cleaner soap (Budweiser) better?

Mike Klutz died on September 10. Mike wanted his ashes spread over a model airplane field.
We spread Mike's ashes at Old Julian Airport Model Airplane Club field during our Fall Race.
About 70 of Mike's old friends were there.
Mike was fast out of the box. Due to a light wind out of the west Mike double cut pylon 2 and 3,
Out of respect for Mike the #2 and #3 pylon judges posted no cuts, but instead give him the checkered flag.

Godspeed Mike Klutz

I was told by a local hobby shop that   MDS   Stands for "Mostly Dead Sticks!"

So far, I guess my choice of engine to go with me would be one of my Rossi 40's.

Hey, Vicman, now that was a cool and fitting end to a flyers life, to go out with a bang (Boom)    that was a great vid..  I guess the FAA and other Gov agencies would have had an issue With Putting all that into a decent size Plane to create a  Flying Boom of similar size and nature.. would still have been cool tho!  Or maybe even a high speed, low level figure Nine (think about it) with a large explosion resulting from the impact..    That great vid has many ideas swirling through my head for the day My time comes...  (Hopefully no time soon tho!)

Craig.
