PITTS MUFFLER ? HELP
my question is i have a OS61FX in witch i have installed on my seagul extra 300 with a pitts muffler. I have recently just join a club in witch theres a noise requirement, and of coarse i dont want to piss any one off and i want to enjoy flying there and go buy the rules..... well my question is i dont wont to ruin this planes looks by hanging that big ugly looking stock muffler off the side,and take away any of the performance.... could i or has any one every stuffed steel wool in the pitts muffler to quit them down so i wont have to remove it ? or make another suggetion on how to tame Her down thanks in advance Bill

Hey There SENZA,
Just increase the pitch by 1 or 2. Go from a 12/6 to a 12/7 or a 12/8. Increasing the pitch will make a great difference in the noise level. As they say, been there done that.

Increase the pitch, also use APC props. Much quieter.
As for the Steel Wool...hmmmm, won't the engine suck it back into the exhaust opening at some point?
