Saito 56, threaded pipe between the cylinder and muffler. Anyone know off hand what size and thread pitch it is ? If I can't find a Pitts muffler, I need a longer section of pipe to get the muffler outside the cowling on my little Pitts.

EDIT: Just make sure you get VITON O-Rings! The package specified that they were Viton, and are fuel-resistant.

Well guys I've said it time and time before but Saito and Horizon Hobby are the greatest!! Some of you may remember my posts about my 82A......I just opened the box from Dave at Horizon and the note said that the connecting rod was seized at the bottom AND top and there was major damage to the internals. In other words, I completely destroyed the motor. Best part was that a new engine was in the box as well, UNDER WARRANTY!!!! No other manufacturer is going to do that for us, I am a customer for life!! I already was for Horizon anyway but it will be nothing but Saito's in my future. I'm obviously going to spend more time on the stand making sure this one is tuned right. Thanks to all and a special thanks to Horizon Hobby.

On page 281, I showed some photos of a Saito 120 that I was rebuilding. I'm re-attaching those photos here along with some "after" photos. All I did was to use the old anti-freeze in the Crock Pot trick for about 4-5 hours. The goo came off pretty well. Sorry about the fuzzy photos. I just can't seem to get my camera into manual focus tonight, but you can get the idea.

Guys I have a problem here:
I rebuilt a Saito 72 some about one year a go (After I bought it at ebay and found that it didn't work at all) I replaced the bearings and had to disassemble almost for complete. After the rebuilding, and breaking in again, I noted that it does not run anything similar (or close) a saito 82 but pulled my H-9 Stick 40 size OK with a 12 x 7 prop. Since that rebuilt I have been thinking if something is not OK with the engine and I have read many things about these kind of engines, I have posted many questions here and I have learned a lot from many of you, like Bill and many others.
The question now is that I decided to disassemble the engine again and look for that tiny dot at the rod, because I found at this page:

That this dot goes towards the intake side of the cylinder; disassembling mine found that the dot goes towards the front of the engine, I turned the rod as this page states and found that I just can assemble the engine again because the piston position (Too much to the back), I believe that the answer is obvious but I need this professional advised about the "short" and "long" side of the piston.
I took a few pics of the related confusion.

The bearing in the big end of the rod will have a relief or a chamfer on the side that goes next to the crankshaft, it fits against a filet (or radius) on the crankpin.
