Oven's heated, engfiens going in.. After reviewing the post I've decided the rear bearing not being seated, Dars Wrist pin, and the dif. Cranks as the top three possiblities.. I'm going to try all three when she comes out in 15 mins.

Don't think it worked guys.. The cranks appear Identical.. I put the old bronze washer on and hammered the crank in with the butt end of a screwdriver. Then I check the clearence and I don't believe the crank pin is whats hitting.. Maybe somehow i switch the con rod around.. I sure dont see how though... Evey thing else appeared fine.. According to the blow up view...

AHH!

With the piston and rod out of the engine bolt the back plate in place. At least you'll know if the crank pin is binding, or if the crank alone turns freely then it's the rod.

Two things:

1. Did you check your connecting rod where its supposed to slide on the wrist pin?

2. Did you try turning your rod around? But first of all, look at the rod. In the big end bearing, it is tapered or chamfered on the side that goes towards the crank. The other side has no chamfer. Some rods have a offset to clear the counter weight on the crank?

When you put it together, does the rod go all the way up on the crank pin so they are flush with each other?

Ok guys,

I think I got it. I tried the wrist pin, and reversing the rod.. But went right back to how it was originally.. After checking clearences I installed the crank and dropped in the piston.. Hmmm no binding... So then I installed the sleeve.. Still no binding. At this point I don't know what the deal was, I did get pretty mad and pound on the crank to push at the rear bearing. Maybe that was it.. Who knows. Off to install the engine..

Thanks alot guys! I would've never figured it out without your help!
