SAITO 120 Idle?
Good day
I just finished breaking-in my Saito 120. Thats about 45 mins of running time. My best relativly smooth idle is around 2800-3000 rpm. Am I in the ballpark with this idle, or should I be trying to get around 2000rpm?
Thanks
Todd

Depends on what prop you are running. Also 45 minutes isn't all that much. You will find the idle improves as well as top end with more running time. I find that about 2 hours is where things come together with Saitos.

Todd:
At 45 minutes your Saito engine is not yet fully run in, but you should be able to get the idle down to 2500 at most, maybe even to 2200 rpm. When you get a couple hours on it there's no question, 2200 rpm, perhaps to 2000 rpm depending on the fuel and prop.
Bill.
