Default ST 2500 carb

Hi guys,
I`m having trouble holding adjustment with St 2500 carb. I have heard that some people replace the ST carb with a OS D7 carb, then the problems go away. Is there a cheaper alternative to the 64.99 D7 carb?
Regards,
Frank

Default RE: ST 2500 carb

Try a Moki 1.35 carb or a Magnum/ASP 1.08 carb. I believe the Moki will fit without an adapter sleeve, but the Magnum will need a custom sleeve. Both of these carbs are around $40. The only other alternative is the Perry carb, which should also be a drop in replacement. It is also in the $40 range. I used the Magnum and made a sleeve to fit the engine. It works great on my 2300.
