IMO, Marvel Air Tool Oil, available at most decent auto parts houses for ~$6 quart, is the BEST thing to use for after-run oil.

Others might have differing opinions...so be it.

I'm not so sure Marvel products are available in Italy .
Marvel ATO is really just Naphta base (high parrafin) oil with mineral spirits added. Very similar in make up to WD-40 (Which MAY be available in Italy)
Perhaps you could check at a tool supply store for an equivalent.
Pneumatic tool oil is probably close no matter what the name.

Not that I use either one just some suggestions if you intend to use air tool oil .

I've been using Mobile 1 Synthetic engine oil in all my engines including YS. During the season, I run the engine dry and drop in about 10 ~ 15 drops in the carb. Then use starter for a second or two.

During winter or for a longer storage, I flood the engine with same oil.

Default Sewing oil

The sewing machine oil I'm looking at here has silicone in it and that's bad for glow plugs.

I've heard that a good mixture is the Marvel ATO mixed 50-50 with Automatic Transmission Fluid. I think I read that in Clarence Lee's column as his personal favorite mixture.

LF, thanks for that web link. It made for interesting reading.

And, is that your picture?

as i understand the sewing machine is bad.
i tried to look for the airtool oil but i couldn't find it yet.
the most common oil out there is automatic transmission oil .
is this type of oil alone can be used ?

thanks

The Marvel Air Tool oil is a little difficult to find but you can find it. I wonder if it would be in an auto parts store? I bought mine at a machinists supply house. And, when all else fails, commercial after-run oil isn't all that expensive anyway.

Hope that this helps

I use WD-40 and dextronIII transmision oil . the WD-40 thins it out ..

Works for me!! No rust or clouding of the metal parts so far ..
