Default O.S. .46 AX - High speed prop for <3lb plane?

Curious as to what props folks have run on the O.S. .46 AX for speed applications? Pondering putting this on a SPAD sickle. Should weight roughly 2.5lbs when built. APC 10x7 perhaps?

Appreciate any input.

Normally a 9x8 APC is great but your ship is soo light I would try a pylon prop. like a 8.75x 8 or similar...Maybe 9x7 for maiden--

Yep, the APC 10x7 seems to be the prop that many of the Q500 boys have settled on for the AX. If 180-200 km/hr speed is your goal, it would be a good place to start.

I finally got my sickle back in the air and this time with the APC 9x8 sport prop. WOW - what a difference - much faster. Was a bit shaky after these flights. It cooks. Still a sick amount of vertical so I will look to try a steeper pitch like a 9x9 though I will loose some punch. The 10x7 seems like a nice balance of speed and power. The 9x8 needs a little distance to get up to speed. The 9x9 would be more for high speed passes if anything just for kicks.

The 10-7 would give you faster pick-up and more vertical but slower fly-by
