Irvine 1.20 2C Opinions
Hi All
Wondering if anyone can give some advice/opinions on Irvine motors. I am considering an Irvine 1.20 2C but can't seem to find out much about them.
Are they any good, are they reliable, are the carbs any good, who sells them where does one get parts. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

I believe the only way you would get one is used unless you got lucky.
OS bought Irvines some time ago and now only make the 150 size engine in that range. See http://www.justengines.unseen.org/acatalog/Irvine.html
Good engines good carbs and there is still some spares availability.
But I would buy a OS 120 AX not the Irvine.

If you can find a 1.20 or better yet a 1.50 grab it, Irvine carbs are the best, and if you get red one they're real purty too. Pictured is my 1.50 and a little .25 which is converted to Diesel.

From what I have read, the 1.20 was discontinued some time ago. I now only see the 1.50 is offered on the "justengines" web site.
I had a red 1.20 and it was a very nice running engine, would swing a APC 16X8 with no problem.
I now have a brand new red 1.50 that is still sitting in its box. It is almost too pretty to run.
If you can get one, I would grab it for sure.

I wonder whether one of you chaps could provide me with dimensions of the bore and stroke...Irvine 1.20? I understand that it uses the same crank as the 1.50 and am wondering whether it is a long-stroke engine.

I'm afraid I've only got 2 Irvines, this 61R which is brand new and the 40RLS which is a CL stunt specific engine, different to the normal 40RE (and to the best of my knowledge the only one in Australia ).
