Default Glow Engine Cleaner?

I ran off the runway into the Arizona dirt and now my engine is covered with dirt and dust. In the past, I have used Nitro Cleaner in a aresol can but have ran out.

Is there anything at my local Auto Parts Store that I could use instead?

Thanks!

G

I've used spray cans of carburetor or brake parts cleaners. They work well and dry quickly.

The rubbing alcohol was the most convenient cost effective thing that has worked well for me.

Damn power dissolver is the best product I've used, short of antifreeze/crockpot method. Much much less toxic and faster. Spray on, wait 15 minutes, rinse or brush off. Done.

I might add that Dawn Power Dissolver is available in most grocery, drug, dollar, and discount stores

I use brake parts cleaner from the auto parts store. You can catch it on sale sometimes for a buck a can. Quick arosol action and cuts thru the fuel residue like a dream and leaves everything dry. Works great for cleaning RC cars too.

I usually pack a can or two when I go to a race just to keep things goop free in between heats.
