How much will a pitts muffler affect the power of
say, an Irvine .53 over a stock muffler?

I can't say what it will do to the Irvine, but what I have found is that they have given a little to a lot more power at WOT, but the ease of tuning has been worse. The ones I have tried did not give enough back pressure. I ended up putting a Perry pump on my Magnum .46 to get a good miture from idle to top end. The volume of th Magnum Pitts muffler was also the smallest as compared to the others.

My opinion only.

Dru.
