Default Magnum Overhaeting

I got a Magnum 61 two stroke i bought about 6 months ago. The other day I noticed the muffler was loose, so i took it off to put some thread locker. I looked through the exaust port and noticed it was pitch black. I take the head off the engine and see the same color on the piston. this is the second 61 I buy. The first one was also overheating. Im positive its not running lean its actually slobbering rich. thanks in advance.

Just in case it matters

It sounds like it's in pretty good shape to me?

How's the compression?

Enjoy,

Jim

The black color is not a problem. Try an 11-7 1/2
MAS in it. If your using the newer 12-8, it might be
a wide series prop. Your engine won't like it.

doesnt the black color mean that the engine is running too hot?
