You can use it but remember that out of the box it will have 180 degrees of throw so you'll need to use your end points to decrease it. Otherwise it's power is great. I just talked to a guy using them in a rock climber monster truck without servo savers and loves them.

I would suggest a servo saver though

Thanx Tony. I wouldn't dream of using a servo without some sort of saver, especially anything $50 and up! Now about the throw, my transmitter has a variable intensity adjustment for the steering(aside from the trim control), I'm not sure if I turn it all the way down if it would make it go from 180Ëš to only 90Ëš. Anybody got a clue? With the 5998 tg I have now I can back it down from 60Ëš to about 30Ëš. Also, my transmitter and receiver operate on amplitude modulation @ 27MHz I believe it is. the receiver uses 6 volts. I'm currently using an orange crystal (channel3), is this compatible? In addition I was also curious if I could continue using alkaline batteries, or would i have to switch to something else. I read something in another post about lithium ion. I've had an HS 5625 mg and an HS 645 mg and have broken both. stripped teeth, I'm hoping this 5998 tg holds up! is there any kind of warranty on these things?
