5955 will they ever be available??????
I have had eight 5955's on order at my local hobby shop for 4 weeks now. They have ordered them from Great Planes. Every week, Great Planes say they should be in tomorrow, but of course they never show up. When will these be avialable again? I cannot take the lies and empty promisses anymore. Another week without servos and I will have to change my order to Futaba. Summer is coming and I need to fly.

RE: 5955 will they ever be available??????
Alright, I was at my local hobby shop today and the owner called Great Planes looking for a delivery date on the 5955's to see if it was in line with what was said on this post. Great Planes would not commit to a date and further said that in there system it say's Hitec has ceased production on these servos until further notice. With all the mixed messages as well as other negative comments on many bulletin boards about these servos, I am beginning to get nervous about putting them into a $4000 airplane.
What is going on? When will Great Planes have the servos (give a date, not a week or so)? Why should I trust a servo that has had prodution ceased and considerable negative comments to a high end airplane?
I am not bashing Hitec, I have a lot of your servos and have been happy, but nothing this high end. My confidence in these is wearing thin and good honest explanations are needed to ease it.

RE: 5955 will they ever be available??????
I gave up and cancelled my order. My local hobby shop convinced me that the JR8611A servo with 3 year warranty is the way to go. I will have them tomorrow. Maybe I will try the Hitec's with the next big plane. At this point it would have been well into June before I would have seen any servo's.
