Don't feel stupid. Feel stupid if you have a €800+ Savage X sitting in your room that you have no interest in or intention of ever driving... That's stupid..

I think it's an economic thing. Here in Germany, the set shop price for an X is €569. I think most shops realize there just aren't that many people willing or able to spend that much.. So they've been going on auction, with an average price I'd say of about €450ish...

So I understand not wanting to spend €550 on a truck that YOU didn't get to open the box of...(or install the 3-speed and dual-discs in..)

But I think the other problem has to do with the X itself - rumors or not - that it has problems - that's keeping people away. I know I promised to close the door on that......., but I think with the X HPI has lost a lot of credibility - at least here in Germany (EASY guys - I'm only talking about the sitch here in Germany..) - so naturally the market price would be lower... The reason I haven't been able to sell it also has to do with how much of a loss I'm willing to take.. Over €250 is painful...

well i'll be here all summer. once i get my revo in shape with a few upgrades, i should have some cash left. But like i said, its not going to get any better. the minute you break it in, then you pretty much commited to losing the "new" aspect. but at the same time, there is no point in is sitting there on the shelf. damn thats must be an annoying situation. either watch over €250 go down the drain or watch it go down the drain slowly. well, if people are having problems, you could part it out and sell it off piece by piece to those ppl with broken X's. just an idea.

And given that retailers seem to be under pressure to get X's out into the market, maybe quite a good idea....

you might be able to recover some of your money, and anything you dont sell thats not an "X specific" part, keep for your own savage. are some parts compatible with the savy25?

That's what I've been thinking... On the other hand though, would be nice to get €500 all in one chunk..

yea. but from the way you describe it it may not be possible. how much is it costing you each time you put it on ebay?

what did the auction reach each time you put it on ebay?

That's the really stupid part. I thought e-bay didn't cost anything unless you sold it... Well, I tried nickel-and-diming by going down like €10 each time - 3 times - and now i have to pay like €20... What BS..

The last time it was for €545 - and to be honest I felt king of weird even that low.. I think if I put it on there for €499 somebody would buy it... Just a question of how low I'm willing to go....

If my new truck works out, maybe I'll put it up for €500 - if not, I'll have it there to start up I guess and see what happens...(with an Axial .28 from slapmafro I bought especially for it, BTW..)

I do not under stand children this day and age as I have been making money some way since I was around 7 years old. There is all ways a way to make enough money to get you truck going if you really want to. That is all up to you.

Not really because there's more of it to be made

at my old house I paid the 11 year old kid that lived next door $10 a week to mow my lawn

That kid did nothin but go around and ask people "do you have anything i can do that you dont want to do?" and he had more disposable income than i did!

I wish that was all they charged around here! They get $30 here but they edge and swipe as well. When I was young back in the 60’s I go $5 to cut a lawn, $3 to wash a car and I all ways had money in my pocket.
