Modded STS 30 video...stage 1
here is a vid of a modded STS 30, we never really topped it out but you get a good idea of what it can do.... as well we had to be real easy on the thorottle off the line or it would ...um well i'll just let you watch the vid for yourselves

the modding on this motor is pretty minor and it still has quite a bit more potential left in it...

Ok you guys need to gear it up more. Say 49/18 or 47/18 or the stock 47/17. Way too much wheelies. You can afford to increase gears.
By the way, what % fuel are you guys using and what is the running temp at the time of the wheelies??
Great video demo of the .30!!!

temps were about 175-200... we just installed the motor before the video, so we were tuning as we were videoing, so at points it was super rich.and it was shifting to second very early, there is still alot of potential to this motor.. its a dam fine engine.

Once you're done modding the engine, would you post some pics of the crank and sleeve? I'd love to see your handiwork.
Also, what durations did you remap the induction, Schneurle and boost ports to?
While you had your D30M apart, did you measure the critical dims? If so, what are the bore and stroke of the engine such that it comes up to .30ci?
You know me by now, I love hard numbers.
I agree with bam.bam. Higher gears will tame some of those wheelies. Hell, even with 20T/47T gears, you will still pull wheelies. I do with my D28M with this gear combo on a 3spd tranny.
