WTB Aerofly Pro but am I compatible
Hello!
I am asking the same question as many but I want to be sure. Is my computer compatible w/ the system requirements?
Dell Dimension 8250
Pentium 4
2.40 GHz
Total Memory 256mb 9.13% free physical memory
Total Page Space 626mb 42.90% free page file space
Total Virtual Memory 881mb 33.13% free virtual memory
Display Adapter 64mb
Also downloaded is the directx 9 video card and I want to use my new JR XP6102 Radio
I beleive that I am missing a 3d accelerated video card. Whats is a good one at a reasonable fee?
Please let me know...
Thanks,
Perry

Hi
I am assuming that this is what your system looks like
http://support.dell.com/support/edoc...ov.htm#1084976
the agp slot im assuming is empty
Upgrading a p/c has a lot to do with your budget and your future plans a video card is one of the more important items you couls buy a full blown high end card with plans to upgrade the rest later or you could buy a card that will get you up and running at a fair clip
a good card to get you by would be a ATI 9600 http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProduc...roperty&DEPA=1
or a Nvidia 5700 or better http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProduc...roperty&DEPA=1
here is a chart that may help you choose a card http://www.a1-electronics.net/Graphi...ec04_pg3.shtml
and here is a price guid to help you http://www.pricewatch.com/m/mn.aspx?i=37&f=1
Just stay with the same interface(AGP) if this is your system

here is a better pic of the board. If it was me i would stick another 256meg stick in it.Also try and match the types of ram in the sytem at the verry least get sticks with the same amount of chips on the sticks some sticks have chips on both sides some dont and the same speed is also important.
