Default New GP Kit: Rapture 40

Just ran across this in the R/C news section on the Tower website. Always nice to see GP coming-out with new kits, but doesn't this one look almost like their last new kit-- the UltraSport 40+?

Yeah, it does look like the Ultra sport 40 with an inverted inverted engine..

Ultrasport: (Taken from the GP site)
Wingspan: 58.5 in (1485mm)
Wing Area: 595 sq in (38.4 dm2)
Weight: 5.3-5.7 lbs (2400-2600 g)
Wing Loading: 20.5-22.3 oz/sq ft (63-68 g/dm2)
Length: 46 in (1170mm)
Requires: 2-stroke .40- .52 cu in (6.5 - 8.5cc) or 4-stroke .52 to .70 cu in (8.5 - 11.5cc), 4-channel radio w/5 standard servos & 3 rolls MonoKote

Raptor (which isn't listed on the Great Planes web site.. Yet..)

Wing Area: 635 sq in (41 sq dm)

I can't wait to see the girl in the ad. Certainly "Rapture" is miles ahead of "Fantasy", no?

Yeah, I guess that "the more things change, the more they stay the same."

What's interesting is that the description seems to indicate that GP is really trying to make this kit *easier* to build. Maybe the plane looks the same (why mess with what works), but internally it is built more simply. Certainly sounds interesting.

I agree, No cap strips, and no LE sheeting. Should be an easy build for the "First Builder".

It would be worth looking into IMHO

But personally, I would like to see a Rubber Band option on any plane advertised as a "Second Plane".
