I'd agree with JN, the only things I'd check out is the switch harness for black wire corrosion and that u/c. My view is that alloy u/c is the #1 reason u/c mounting plates get torn out, no give in a fore and aft direction. TBH I'd replace the switch.

I am in the process of installing a DLE 20 in one of my Ultimates. It is my first gasoline engine setup. I hear people talking about looping fuel on top of the tank. I am confused as to how it is looped. I understand why but can't find any photos or good descriptions to how people have run the fuel line. Is it just wrapped in a circle and tucked under the the rubber bands? Pointers are appreciated.

Is your fuel tank up front right behind the firewall? Your gas engine will have a walbro carb which has a pump. I mounted my tank just above the wing using the stock tank mounting piece of wood. My thinking was that my cg should stay pretty consistent through out the flight and gives me plenty of room for the fuel lines.

It's to prevent fuel from returning out the vent line when you turn your model upside down.
A better picture - again from a thread on RCG![](http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8336/8368032278_95d12ec16f_z.jpg)

*light build goes on...*
makes perfect sense... I've never had a big enough problem to need to do this, but I get it ... cool, my next plane I'll probably do this on...

Just picked up an original CG T.O.C. Circus Circus ARF Ultimate. Flew it at the field and had to have it. Luckily the owner is a good friend that agreed to let me take it home.
Anybody familiar with this scheme or the history of the plane? The previous owner filled me in on most of it. Just wondering if anyone else has one or if anyone has even heard of it. I'll get some photos of it soon.

It finally flew!!!
Maidened on saturday and I went to first IMAC round on sunday 600km from home!
Flew a little nose heavy, I moved the battery and RX to the back of the bay, but it's still a little nose heavy for my taste.
I used the middle of the range on the printed plans, I guess it's quite a bit conservative.
Too much "up trim" on level, requires down elevator on inverted flight. Lands a little fast, nose won't go up for. But it comes down VERY stable on that glide.
I guess I'll remove the smoke system bolted to the firwall. And maybe add a small piece of lead on the rear gear.
I used the "mild" control settings suggested on the manual. It's enough for my style, it "snaps" and "spins" even with the forward CG. (but you have to really try to do so)
The manual says you could fly the "old" F3A routine on that setting, I can't wait for next weekend with the CG spot-on.
This thing flies soooooo good. Long live Ultimate!!!!

Love Love the covering. Very attractive. What are you powering yours with. I am installing a gas engine on mine and having to move all I can up front to get it at the rear most cg point.

Mounted at 45° down, the lines of the cowl are much nicer than a side mounted engine with a lot of fiberglass hacking.
I posted a lot of images with the build process "a few" pages ago. I didn't reinforce almost anything!
A gas engine will surely require servos in the tail and rx battery "somewhere" behind. That translates into more weight...

My plane "feels" light in flight... ...."your mileage may vary".
The covering scheme was inspired by the Eflite Ultimate (top and fuse sides), and a german 50cc EMHW Ultimate (fuse sides and bottom).
Bottom is red with white curved sunbursts.

(ps: I would really love to build that german 50cc kit... ...looks really nice in the videos!!!
