Servos for LMH Corona 120
I just got a Corona 120, and I was wondering what servos to go with. I saw a list in the Corona manual, but how up to date is it?
Thanks

RE: Servos for LMH Corona 120
I personally use HS-81's. One of them is metal gears becuase heli-hobby ripped me off and told me I was getting metal gears and I got plastic. Once one broke I ordered another MG and I realized I had gotten plastic the first time not metal. Anyways I would do it like this-
-Foward/Back Cyclic - HS-85MG (Alittle less speed but a couple more oz. of torque)
-Left/Right Cyclic - HS-85MG (Alittle less speed but a couple more oz. of torque)
-Tail - HS-81MG (More speed)
Or you could just use all HS-81's just make sure you get MG!!! You'll save money in the long run. Soon I will be getting HS-85's for my cyclic controls but as of now the HS-81's work just fine.

81mg especially on the tail. Way too easy to strip a gear otherwise. Speed on the tail servo is important also.
If you are setting up for the first time, then 81mg all the way aaround. There is very little difference in cost and they are much better in the long run.

I use all 81mg's but I'm not convinced it's fast enough for the tail. My linkages are as slop-free as they get, all the way out to the tail blades, but I still have some tail wag. This is after a lot of trials with different gain settings on my gy240.

I just double checked my 120 and my tail rotor is controlled by a Hobbico cs12mg. I knew it was working fast enough, I just forgot that I changed out the 81 for the Hobbico.
