OS #743 muffler replacement that fits?
I have an old mint .46 FSR marine engine. THe 743 has the corect hole to fit the manifold. However, the angle on the muffler is all worng to fit.
I think i need to move to a tune pipe and i need a manifold that fits the hole pattern and bends back at 90 degrees REALLY tight so i can get rear exhaust from my side-exit exhaust on my engine.
My engine compartment is too small for anything else.
Is the hole pattern common with a ton of mufflers or only the 743?
Thanks
Brett

O.S. doesn't no longer makes muffler/pipe header for the FSR series. You'd have to check with the independent manufacturers of mufflers/tuned pipes to see if they have header.
O.S. still makes an extension so that you can space the stock muffler out from the engine another 1/2-inch.

RE: OS #743 muffler replacement that fits?
I guess i am not being clear.
Here is another way to ask:
Do all OS mufflers/manifolds use the same hole pattern to attach to the engine?
I need to find any manifold that will attach to my engine on the side and wrap EXTREMELY tight against the engine to create an REAR exit exhaust system/ tune pipe/ quiet pipe/ muffler...
THe #743 muffler does not fit in my boat but fits my engine. It sticks TOO far out by a lot and the angle of the pipe does not account for the fact that boat engines are set up on an angle so the front of the engine rests higher than the flywheel assembly.
Maybe it doesn't exist... However, Mac looks close...
