What browser do you use?
I'm curious what browser people use. Long ago I made a conscious decision to not use MS IE because I didn't like their tactics of adding proprietary extensions, in an attempt to gain control of the web technology. For quite a while I used Netscape. Then I switched to Mozilla. Now I use [link=http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/]Firefox[/link] for everything but the few pages that will only work on IE.
One of the things I like best about Firefox is that it's got a built in spell checker. As you can see from the included picture, if you misspell a word, Firefox underlines it for you. This feature can greatly improve one's spelling.

Great tip there Chuck. I have been using both. I like Firefox but have not made the switch to Firefox yet (all my favs are still in IE).
The spell checker might be working over time on some of the posts I have seen in the boat forum. Probably underline the whole text box

So that's why people cant spell. Here I thought they just ignored the red lines and typed away. Been using Mozilla and now Firefox, ever since Mozilla came out.

The site owners are soon to be making major changes to the site that should see these problems ended.

Taylor, the last time that I posted in here was back when the site was getting hacked.
Anyway, seeing how I'm on AOL I mjust use what they provide. I do have IE 7 but for an alternative I try to use AOL Explorer. It has fun features in case somebody likes to look over your shoulder like reverrsing the screen, flipping it over or making it look fuzzy. It also has a "Who Is" in case you want to find out who owns the site that your visiting. You can also import Your Favorites links from IE, AOL or other browsers. It's also free to download even if you're not on AOL.

RE: What browser do you use?
I use Firefox. Have been for years. Firefox works very well for me. Some sites will only work with MS IE, but for them I use a Firefox extension called IE Tab. Firefox will remember the sites that IE Tab has been used on and make the switch for you if you wish.

I recently downloaded Google Chrome Beta from an ad that I saw on You Tube. Interesting browser but the really funny thing is that when trying to go into You Tube and watching a video from a link, it shows it as being unavailable! Other things it wants you to use IE as your main browser, not theirs!

RE: What browser do you use?
I started on IE but went to FireFox because of the tabbed browsing and it was great until V2 came out. V2 was always crashing, hogging up RAM, and in general being a pain. I downloaded IE7 and haven't looked back. It never crashes no matter how many tabs I have running and it is less obtrusive than FF. Maybe when FF v4 comes out I'll try it but I'm so annoyed with v2 I'm skipping right over v3.

I use Mozilla also. But ever since that stupid 3.05, I am having problems. It wont turn on, it says "cannot connect to EN.US....blah blah blah.
What dos this junk mean? I prefere Mozialla since Explorer is full of holes for virus writers to exploit to slip in trojan viruses, phish, pharm, etc.

Another vote for Firefox...doesn't crash on me like IE used to. Also tried Google Chrome, but had a lot of problems with downloads..uninstalled it...sticking with Firefox!

See my posting above on Google Chrome. I liked a lot of the features except I couldn't watch You Tube videos on it which is really odd as Google now owns You Tube.
