I'll tell you what if I see pics like that on the planes forums wheres he's at posted I'll complane big time and see how they like it!!! hey i agree with you there is no reason to put those pics up either. i think some forget this is not an adult site. dont you agree the hydoplane models were more classy? they were covered up. i complain whenever i see moral indecency on the web on rcu. its a family site, see thats the thing. what is a boomers did you mean bombers.

yep bombers like the b17 b24 b25 b29's all had some naked pic on them. I know most of the ww2 planes because I'm a big ww2 plane buff!! My grandfather fought in ww2 in the islands of imajima as a 4th division marine and a great uncle that was in the navy too.

OK, here's the way that I see it. Timothy, you knew what you were going into just by the title last night when you clicked on the thread. Pornographic? Hardly. Are you just mad at us because you got caught looking when your wife and son caught you and had to have someone else to blame besides yourself?
I'd advise you to take your boats if you have any to a very secluded place as if you get near a beach your son may see other scantily clad young ladies there in real life. I'm guessing that it's past time for that little father-son talk. Yes, I am a father of a now 21 year-old son. He can talk about anything to me and has.
If the Mod's have felt that the pictures were inappropriate for this site, I would have been the first to remove them. Justaddwata did move it to this forum as I'm guessing that it was originally elsewhere.

WOW DO YOU HAVE ANY PICS OF IWO JIMA? thats neat, there was a web site where they were putting up nose art and it got way out of hand so i stopped that one. All i am asking for is common sense. my kid doesnt need to see that, now a plane with a painted girl is ok. Did you know the army censors had the ground crews paint clothes in water color over the private areas if pics were to be taken, then later the crews washed off the paint.
So do you race boats or are you a model? Is that you in the one pic with the hydroplane where you said she could beat anyone up?I find nothing wrong with that pic or any of the others on there now except for the first one where she is with the yacht. Women are not pieces of meat. i have been fighting a battle for decency , im a teacher so that may tell you where i come from. i have a 21 year old daughter who models and my son 10.

Tim, I've complained for a long time that we as R/Cer's don't need "Cheesecake" shots in R/C magazines either for people to notice products. Have you ever picked up a copy of R/C Car Modeler? Don't look at the Boca Bearings ads then. If you've seen one ball bearing you've pretty much seen them all, they're round and shiny so they must feel that they need something to get people's attention.
Ever seen the Aeromarine ads? I've seen the model in person. The ads barely crop a backside shot of her wearing thong underwear.
Scantily-clad young ladies have been pushing products since they made the camera.
You are being hypocritical now as you think that risque nose art is fine yet these pictures aren't.

I've said enough on this subject.

well thanks for removing the 2 offending shots. i agree ads are getting bad. nose art on ww2 aircraft is history. and no i dont approve of most of it. i never said i did! i got lots of offending nose art removed on the warbirds section. the call me a prude but im looking out for the young people who look at this stuff.
Our whole society thinks sex sells stuff its really sad. btW that cosmos yacht is on heck of a model. i understand its static display now. do you know what it went for in us dollars on ebay? with micro helis the hughes 500 can be made to fly and lan on the ship.

Well the old saying goes,you know what sells!!! Like Ron stated plus theres other Mag's in news&grosery store sell them even with bikini girls with cars truck's bikes planes boats,even musicial interments too. Here's what I got and yes I diddle with electric guitars&Base. Heck my boyfriend was two years older then your son at the time had a note book cover he made with a blue tricked out 57 chevy with a bikini girl on it and he had proublems with an english teacher who hated him and his note book cover. So his mother got involed and show it to the pricible with he had no proublems with it. So they moved him out of that bad english teacher class. Heck he used to buy a Mag called autobuff!!!! It had cars bikes truck and hot boats with bikini girls posing with them. He use to buy them each month at the news stand when he was 12 years old!!

hey thats my plane! ive got a large b-25 Anyway do you race hydros. im going to build a flying boat in the near future a short sutherland 4 engine transport so ill be asking waterpoofing questions. i teach high school math and havent had that kind of notebook but lote of shirts with suggestive sayings. they have to go change or go home for the day

Sadly the RCU User Timothy Thompson has passed away . Thank you for bringing this to my attention *** . Although Tim seemed to be very unhappy with me ( and this thread displaying a normal girl in a Bikini ) , he still has us confused to why he posted a message on the Cosmos web-site mentioning he had a 10 year old BOY . This is a little strange considering he didn't have one .

Oh well I guess it doesn't make any difference now . It just puzzles me to the point where I thought someone may know the answer .


PS. Naturally my Condolences go out to his wife and daughter .

Three points I would like to make . 1) There are NO naked girls on this website . 2) Do not take your 10 year old boy to any popular beach anywhere in the world , he WILL see girls in swim suits . 3) My daughter ( the model in the pictures ) volunteered herself to be photographed .
