I know this post is 6 monthes old, but hey, at leat I used the search function instead of cluttering RCU with a new thread.

Anyways, I just got the game and paid $20 for it. What's sad is that for 2 months of on-line access, I have to pay $39 (nearly twice what I paid for the game itslef!). They should give out the game for free an only make you pay for the on-line access. I wonder if anyone knows if there is a monthly mebership discount, sort like when you sign up for Skank cell phone (I'm just making up a name here), you get 3 months free if you refer a friend or $20 off your nezt bill if you have a cupon or whatever.

Aside from the costs, the game is really addictive and I am truely enjoying my first free 30 days. Getting to level 20 is a serious beeyatch as the monsters at your same level now can totally smash you.

Any of you see the South Park episode poking fun at this game? That episode is way funny! If I play this game too much, I can totally see myself becomg that fat dude who was so powerful he killed all the moderators and administrators when they tried to delete him! Oh well, if it was not World of Warcraft, Matt Stone and Trey Parker would have made fun of something else, like Myspace.

Level 56!!!???? I'm happy to see level 20! If my mom cut me off like that, I would find other ways to play, even if it meant going to Schlotski's or to the internet at the public library!

Yes, I'm hooked. I plan to see if I can level up again tonight and empty out my quest queue some. I cannot take on any new quest right now becaus I have some old quests lingering in there I should not have neglected.

Making level 20 in less thana week? It took me nearly 3 weeks to get to level 20. I just made level 21 just hacking and slashing at indigeneous fauna and completeing simple quests. There are so many quests! I completed 7 questes last night, about 2000P worth. This was just enough to get me to level 21. When I hit level 30, I'm gonna go to the opposite continent and bash on some opposing players there.

I think I will keep my memebership up even after my 30day free membership epires. I'll simply cut it off if I get too bored.
If I do cut it off and want to reactivate my acount, would I lose all my current characters? I sure would hate to have to start from scratch again.

My friend who plays is around a level 48 I believe. I don't want to get started with it. If I do, I may not have a life outside of my computer.

I would play but the suscription fee and stuff is stopping me. $200 for the first year is way too much! My friend plays and is a level 60 though...

I'm glad to know that. I'm about to hit level 23, but I'm not sure how long I can keep on playing regularly for the net month or two. If I cannot log on atleast 3 times a week, than I'm going to suspend my membership until I come back. I hope Blizzard will not charge me for the down months since I paid in advance.

Is it me or does Blizzard shut down all the servers every Tuesday morning?

Oh well, their goes Matt Stone's and Trey Parker's idea of a guy playing World of Warcraft by being logged on for 2 years straight.

how does guild wars compare to WOW and is guild subscription based too? I would love to get into a game like WOW with all the magic and medieval combat and that stuff, but I don't want to pay $11 per month. Are there any games like WOW that are good and don't have fees. I'm fine paying like $80 for the game, though I'll probably just torrent it, but no subscription fees!
