What if someone is running a car on you frequency nearby? Wouldn't that present a hazard to the guys at the flying field?

Hunter did you get my recommendation? I reviewed it for a magazine awhile back and it would be the perfect plane to learn on and comes with a good charger you can continue to use.

Well, then theres the way the bands are transmitted.
LB, you should get one of those older 7ch Futaba radios, has analog trim, and you can switch freq. mods.

That's certainly a possibility.. but I figured that since you are flying at a air field, there's no cars around.. but you never know..
I don't own a plane, so I was just asking... I haven't crashed anyone's anything yet.. hee hee..

Yeah, hard to find, though.. ha!!
I just wish they got a 2.4GHz that would work w/ the MFUs.. then I'd just need one radio for everything!

Yes, AutoXman, I got your recommendation too! Thanks alot.
I was first thinking smaller, but TEX's recommendation is a really solid kit for the price. Also might give a little room to grow if I don't auger it into the ground on the 2nd flight (or first!)
hehe, I'm busy trying to swing a deal for an Electristar Right now....

I would also recommend the HobbyZone Super Cub, as we used to have 3 of them. I say there one of the best planes to learn on, all of my dad's friend also are learning on the Cubs.

Thanks Cole... I may look at the LHS (Gasp!) and see if they have the Super Cub.
We'll see what happens!

Hunter you go to Riders right? Because the Rider's in Ypsilanti gives us like really good deals and are really nice but that may be, because we buy everything from them(and dont order anything off the internet). But the one in Livonia may be different. And you can use the red card.

Yeah, rider's in Livonia is ripoff city. Poor pricing, not even close to competitive with online prices (I'd be willing to pay more, but their prices are COMPLETELY ridiculous).

Howdy all, looking for an ESC recommendation. I put the 19T Chameleon2 Pro into the Bosscat, and only had the Pede's XL-5 ESC to put in there (my other 2 systems/ESC are BL). It works fine, but that thing is so tall, it rubs against the underside of the body - no other mounting options. I fear it will heat up and ruin the paint and/or scratch it up.
I doubt I'll ever go lower than a 15T brushed in that thing anymore - anyone have a good, reliable ESC to recommend that can handle it (and is lower in profile than that XL-5)?

Yeah, maybe it would be the time to get a 2.4GHz..
I wonder it has to be an air frequency.. consider if you run a ground frequency at an airfield, you are not going to crash anyone's planes.. (just curious..)

I think I can get that ElectriStar EP plane for 235 shipped. It's brand new from a modeler out in California (never used it just put it together)...
Looks like the radio is only a 4 channel though, 4EX-FM is what it is. Comes with a 7-CH receiver.
Price isn't bad... Whaddya think?
