What's so special about the Speed Passion 4.5, Lee?!

Is it a sensored motor or sensorless??

How about something like Peak Racing / Trinity / Orion / Tekin?

Cause those are available from Tower!

Hi, I'm looking for users who are Tower Hobbies Members. I lost my Members only flyer which had the discount codes for December/January. Tower pulled the pdf from their website yesterday and replaced it with a new one, and took the codes away. The codes are olny valid for few more hours and I am hoping someone out there can help me out and pass these along to me.

There are 10 codes on the front page to the flyer.

Thanks for your help,
Eric

its just a fairly new and obscure name that i want to try, didnt realise they do a 2.5, cant find specs anywhere though..

oh oh, sounds like trouble..

Powers International have announced that they have started selling the new 2.5R brushless motor from Speed Passion. This competition level touring car motor, has about as few winds as you can get and yet it has a smooth power delivery, while the internals are kept from melting by the built in rotor mounted cooling fan. Combine this with the air vents on the motor casing mean that there is little need for an external fan in normal racing conditions. This motor works with LRP BL speedos, but due to the 2.5R being capable of destroying the ESC, it is recommended to only use this motors with 5 cells.

LOL, 2.5T, like almost no resistence.. ha ha ha! Will blow out most of the ESC, I'd guess!

Working w/ LRP it means it is a sensored design then...

So for you LiPo users out there... which brands do you use? (AutoXMan probably has the most experience, with his dad flying airplanes and helis.. himself as well..)

You can power a sensored motor w/ MM.. it will just treat it as sensorless, that's all..

when the engine blows im sure i will.. but the quality of this little engine i figure ill have 10 gallon in it before that happens

and lee this is the motor you should be lookin at bolts in where a standard 540 would has a built in heatsink

380C class motor here are some reviews from users

plenty of power for little money
Michael Herke
i allready own a feigao 380b motor. it is installed in my tamiya f201 formula 1 chassis. the power is pretty equal to my kontronik twist 42.
sure, the kontronik motor is a fine piece of hardware, has a tiny little bit of extra powerbut, but you will get 3 faigao motors for the price of one kontronik twist.
if you are a serious street racer oder basher: the faigao is a fantastic powerful motor.

Great Motor!
Ryan Standke
This motor is absolutely astounding! We have it in a traxxas rustler and its going about 40-45mph with insane torque!
The best thing of all is that it does not have any heat issues and is way better than the mamba max 5700, 6900 motors!
Great motor A++

for 540 S class motors price and reliability you CANNOT beat a feigao well even l and xl as well

Although w/ the price of Sidewinder and MM motor combo being this low, it is hard to go w/ other combo (if you are looking for a budget setup, I mean..)

Lee is looking for something faster, I am sure... 4.5T and all...

Right, but not everyone has 3S Li-Po... you can argue that one should run 4S Li-Po and run the 4600 motor then! For 2S and 6-7 cells packs, the 4.5 / 3.5T motor will be the fastest for sure!

LOL, at work, can't do MSN!

You can e-mail me, though!
