The foam around the steering wheel kept moving in and I have to keep shoving it back out. The subtrium function doesn't work like its supposed to.

Figure just try different brands out maybe Ill like it maybe I wont if I dont ill sell it off for probably the same I bought it for.

Searching for an aftermarket olution to the foam, and still giving the 3PM a shot, going to have to go for the 3PKS in the future though I know.

I had the subrtrim all the way to one side to get the steering straight as a temporary solution. Found it wouldn't turn one way nearly at all. I thought with subtrim it keeps the throw equal in both directions after you set the nuetral point? Well I had to do normal trim to get it working correctly. I may be thinking of it wrong however.

I do like the radio though, I take what I said back I just need to rea dmore about it and buy an aftermarker steering wheel I already found a couple will order tomorrow along with parts for my RC18B.

3PKS is da bomb...

Okay, not like I would know, ha! It just looks cool...

Maybe just glue the foam?!

Probably do what Tamiya does w/ foam tires.. double sided tape!

That's odd.. the subtrim should retain the throws.. hmm.. weird.. or is it the other way around?! ha! Time to bust out the manual!

I just need more time with it, I am just tired ha ha.

I like the radio and would recommend it as the best bang for the buck radio you can buy

The reason I am tempted for a DX2 is that I only need it for one car for racing. The rest will be FM on my 3PM.

I think my grease food days have come to an end. After the last 2 months of hard training and healthy eating I can only eat 2 slices of pizza now. Any more and I feel sick to my stomach.

AutoXman there is an alternative method. Get a set of mini pin tires. I used half 8 ones for my 3pks. Cut the tire and fit it around the wheel. Superglue it together. Feels way more comfortable and zero slip.

A DX2 can be had for under $100, you said, right?! (used)

Might not be so bad!

Although you can probably get a close to new 3PM 2.4GHz for $150.. !!

Took the foam out, put a ring of double sided tape.. then put the foam back on..

Now it is not moving... ha!

And is not a permanent solution.. you can always just tear it out.. !!

Ill test out the Kimbrough first, then what secret said and then taping the foam. See what feels best for me, thanks for the suggestions guys!

Yeah and for the DX2 they are cheap and it is only for one car, so I might as well just get the cheapest I can find and use the extra money for FM recievers for something (hitec of course!)

Yeah, for one car, not bad... I just don't like the DX3 only has 4 car model memory!

It is useful for my 3PKS to do both FM and 2.4GHz.. and has tons of model memory.. you don't have to worry about running out.. and you can always put in the memory card if you need more!

Kind of like a radio that's good for a LONG LONG time.. you won't outgrow it..

I am usually pretty easy on my equipments.. so as long as you don't drop it, etc. it should last forever..

I need to dig up my old JR.. I got a JR 4-ch from 20+ yrs ago.. LOL! I bet it still works!!

I see myself getting a 3PKS in the near future or a Hitec. This one looks nice

http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXFCA9&P=SM

I posted pics at some point int he Lounge of my minis, it is just a stock RC18B I will take pics tomorrow. Funny thing was after I was going so fast around the track everyone wanted one. And the 2 of the Duratrax Vendettas had broke, and for fun I was going off a huge ramp out back showing poeple that you cannot break this thing. I landed upside down have the time landed one one wheel etc. Only thing is I think I could use a new servo saver after some of these hard landings [&:]

I think I'll buy a used Spektrum module for 3pks. Can get those Rxs for like $40 used. Compared to $70 and up for a Fasst. I'll save the FASST receivers for the more serious models.
